Hazelnut Oil Corylus avellana
Hazelnut Oil acts as a strong sun filter so it would be a valuable addition to a natural sunscreen as studies in Chili have recently shown. Hazelnut oil is cold pressed, very light which makes it great for skin types that suffer from acne. Tones and tightens skin, helps maintain firmness and elasticity. Studies have also shown that it helps to strengthen capillaries and encourages cell regeneration so it might be useful against thread veins.
Hazelnut oil is known for its astringent qualities and because of this, it is best used for those who have oily skin but do want to abstain from using oils. It makes a lovely carrier oil for those of us who want to add its benefits to our essential oil experience.
It contains vitamins, minerals, proteins, oleic acid and linoleic acid. Use 100% as base or in 10% dilution
